And…. we’re back.
And I (Gordon) enjoyed it immensely. Liz has headed back to the Library now, but I’m doing some editing and blogging, and generally apologising for the fact that I went a bit manic near the end.
This week: Cadbury’s / Money for Sick Kids / Euthanasia / Comedy Competitions / Chimps / How Holiday Camps are like Prison / The Sally Army and KINDLES!!!!! (and a promise to try our damnedest to keep things regular)
I thought this one was pretty funny by the way. And listen out for the exciting edit, 32 mins in when I get back from the loo. It’s seamless.
ROCK ROCK ROCK!

Hey there, so as a result of my having an essay due, we failed to get this onto the internet until 2 weeks after record.
The things we discuss are somewhat dated now, but include discussion on whether or not the Queen is vermin, new prostitution legislation, the record of the decade and much more.
Listen out for Gordon nearly choking on a cracker at the beginning and me singing at the end. Rock and roll.
Liz

I will edit and post the two-week-old report tonight, and goodness willing we will record, edit and post tomorrow’s report, er… tomorrow.
I posted this from Edinburgh’s newly re-opened Princes Street. Ain’t technology wonderful?

Hello! Since Liz is busy studying for exams, there won’t be a podcast this week. I’ve taken that as an excuse to be too knackered to edit last week’s podcast, so, er… our slightly less topical ramblings WILL go up this week!

Episode 3 is recorded but just needs to be edited when we can find a spare moment today.
Work and school commitments mean we won’t be recording again for two weeks but I’m sure we’ll have some exciting stuff planned for then.
La!

After a brief hiatus the blether report is back, this time we have 2 special guests Hilary Cornish and Rachel Manners talking about DIY feminist organising in Edinburgh.
There are a few sound problems, and some slight tiredness, but it was fantastic to talk about things that are happening in Edinburgh and discuss gender related news.
It’s basically like loose women, but you know, good.. we even have a token man.

During this weeks podcast I incoherently rambled on about an event that I had very few details for. Well, here are some details…
The event is called ‘Buy What You Hear’, is a collaboration between Born to Be Wide and Oxfam Music, is taking place at the Voodoo Rooms Speakeasy, from 9pm-1am on Thursday 5th of October (Ed: I think it’s November(Ed.ed.yes, ok it’s in the future, not the past), and is free to get in.
Here is a link to their Myspace and here is a link to the Voodoo Rooms page.
Also if you are remotely famous, or know someone remotely famous who wants to get involved/in touch… drop us a line and I will pass it on to Jamie.
Now it has a facbook event page -check it out here..http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=187198868372

BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Liz and Gordon
p.s. Gordon would like to apologise for incessant steam-rollering, saying ‘wicked’, ‘you know’ and ‘devil’s contract’ a lot, and pouring liquids near the microphone.
P.p.s Liz promises to drink less, make fewer crude remarks about famous people she likes, and to maybe get a pointy stick to squeeze a few more words in edgeways..
p.p.p.s. It was Laura Cantrell, the singer, I mean.

Just got home from recording episode 1 of The Blether Report. Despite the slightly hairy moment when the computer crashed, fun times were had by all. I feel sort of like I did when I was a child recording radio shows on my little tape player with a hole for a mic (though there is less of me singing Disney songs on this one). It was always really embaressing finding those tapes age 13 when you were looking for something wicked cool to play in the car. Maybe I’ll feel like that about these podcasts one day.
